Advantages of HANIL High Perfomance Butterfly Valves
- Zero Leak Bi-Directionally
- Long Operating Life Cycle Operating
- Pressure to 50kgf/cm2 Temperature to +240°C PTFE Seat
- High Temperature to +450°C -METAL Seat

Double Eccentric Mechanism
This allows friction-free contact between the body and the seat. Since
the rotation axis(stem) of the valve disc is shifted from the center by
a distance of the width of A and B, a cam effect is produced which prevents
wearing of the seal surface, lessens seating torque and offers longer
service life and easy operation.

PTFE Seat Design
Line pressure compresses the flexible seat against the disc, and positive shut-off
is assured. The body and retainer rigidly hold the seat in position and shield
it from flow, protecting in against abrasion and erosion.

Fire Safe Design
Fire safe butterfly valves are available or applications throughout the petroleum
industry, the marine industry, and for processing plants in other industries
where flammable or other hazardous fluids are being handled
In the event fire guts a piping system where these valves are located with
resulting destruction of their polymeric seat, effective shut-off of flow of
the hazardous fluid in the pipeline is accomplished by a secondary metal seat
in the valve.
Metal Seat Design
The useful range of high-performance HANIL butterfly valves van be extended
to more severe applications when equipped with a metal seat. Maximum temperature
range for metal seated butterfly valves is +450°C compared with +230°C
for the standard polymeric seat. The metal seat also makes the valves well-suited
for handling semisolids where abrasive materials are apt to cause damage to
the polymeric seat. Pressure ratings of these valves extend to 20kgf/cm2
The metal seat in these butterfly valves functions in the same manner as the
standard polymeric seat. The flexiblelip seat is pressure-energized by the media
to ensure sealing at higher pressures. The valve body and insert that retain
the seat in position protect the seat from fluid impingement.
While these metal-seated butterfly vavles do not provide the leak-tight shut-off
capability of polymeric seated valves, leakage rates are unusually low throughout
the valve's full temperature pressure/range.
